Four-member jury of the art contest Undersea World Seen by Children / PAF Tachov 2011 met on Wednesday 4th of May in the beautiful historical venue of the Tachov museum. The jury members were assessing the works of 236 youngest artists. The results will be published and prizes awarded on 21st May 2011, during the Festival.
The jury members were:
Zuzana Schweinerová - professional artist, member of the Union of Art Designers of the Pilsen region. She has made several individual exhibitions, among others in the Museum of the Czech Forest in Tachov and in the City Gallery in Tachov. Zuzana was born in Slovakia, however she has been living in Tachov for many years. She attended the pedagogical school and worked as a teacher in the grammar and art grammar schools. She is currently devoted to floral decorations and floral structures.
Svatava Horáčková - Tachovs artist. Her artworks are part of private collections in the Czech Republic, England or Japan. She considers one of her biggest success the participation in the International Biennale of Drawings in Pilsen in 2006 and 2008. She has regular exhibitions in many places of Bohemia, Moravia and Germany. She is native of Hradec Králové. Except for the art, she is also engaged in natural healing.
Jana Hiclová - Honzíková is working as an artist of the Municipal Cultural Centre in Tachov, where she is often the author of invitations, posters, banners, presentations and the designer of interiors and exteriors for the events organized by the centre. She is also author of many city presentations, as well as presentations of the region and wider region in tourism fairs (Regiontour Brno, Itep Plzeň) and individual presentation exhibitions ( Schönsee 2010).
Tomáš Kotouč - Founder of Tethys company in 2003, which is mostly engaged in organizing of diving expeditions. The same year he started with underwater photography. Today, he is one of most famous Czech underwater photographers. He is publishing in magazines Xantypa, Ocean, Buddy, Lidé a země, Koktejl, Příroda and even in the National Geographic. In 2008 he won the Czech round of the National Geographic contest in the category Nature and became the Champion of the Czech Republic in the underwater photography in 2010 awarded during the international underwater festival PAF Tachov.
